Born in Hernando, Mississippi on April 4, 1923 on a dairy farm near the Delta


1948 - 1952
She worked at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee, as the Public Relations Director organizing events and all the big band dances.
July 29, 1955
She married Francis Miller at the Beverly Hills Jailhouse, with two inmates as witnesses. 
May 17, 1957
Her first daughter was born, "Melody Miller" at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Hollywood, California - 8 lb. 2 oz. 

Around January of this year, Nita and Frank bought a home at 5075 Vanalden Avenue, Tarzana.  It was a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with a large expansive green lawn sloping down to the street.  Many a party and musical gathering happened at this house.  Next door, were Phyllis Oman on one side and The Lybrands on the other.  Up the hill on Casa Drive, lived Olive Jones and her son S.J.

July 21, 1959
Nita and Frank's 2nd daughter, "Carol Miller" was born at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Hollywood, California.  Carol was always smiling, very quiet, with a head full of very light blonde curls.
August 16, 1963
Nita's 3rd daughter was born, "Julie Miller", also born at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Hollywood.  Julie was very empathic as a child and now that has manifested in a mediumistic capacity.  Julie was married twice - first to Samuel Porter of Washington County, Arkansas - and whom she had her two children, Garrett and Abigail, with.  Her second husband was Rick Brown, also of Arkansas.  Julie has since divorced and now lives in Durham, North Carolina with her two children in a beautiful two-story home with acreage. 
Passed away on March 09, 2005 at the age of 81.
